Almost 2 years have passed since the unfortunate inferno that raised down the Arrivals Terminal at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

A new look Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
JKIA has since the incident grown and is on its way towards being Africa's gateway to the world; This is with the opening of the airport's Terminal 1A and Terminal 2 and the ongoing development of the new International Arrivals- Terminal 1E, Terminal 1A's Arrivals function and the much anticipated Terminal 3 amongst other projects.

In these past two years, the airport's annual passenger handling capacity has grown from 2.5 million passengers to the current 7.5 million passengers.
