Abiria mia moja waliokuwa wasafiri na shirika la ndege la Air Tanzania (ATCL) wakwama jijini DAR.

Zaidi ya abiria mia moja wa ndege ya ATCL wamekwama nchini Tanzania, baada ya safari zao kuahirishwa. 
Wengi wao wakielekea nchini Comoros na wengine wakiwa katika safari za ndani, kuelekea Mtwara na Kigoma wamekwama kwa siku mbili mjini Dar es salaam.
Abiria hao imebidi wakodiwe hoteli kama ilivyo ada wakisubiri muafaka wa namna watakavyosafiri kuelekea Comoro. 
Sababu za kukwama kwa abiria hao inaelezwa kuwa ni kutokana na marubani wa shirika hilo kwenda likizo fupi ya siku kuu za mwisho wa mwaka, na hawajarejea kazini tangu walipo ondoka, ingawa walitegemewa kurejea kazini tarehe 27 mwezi huu, baada ya sherehe za Christimas.
Hivi karibuni, mwezi oktoba, ATCL ilitangaza kusitishwa kidogo kwa huduma zake kutokana na ndege yake pekee aina ya De Havilland Canada DHC-8-Q311 Dash 8, 5H-MWF kuingia katika matengenezo. Mpaka sasa ndege hii bado ipo katika matengenezo katika karakana ya ndege ya ATCL, Dar es salaam.

Chines aviation firm makes Dar its Africa Aircraft technical base

A Chinese aviation company, AVIC International, which is eying a stake in Air Tanzania, has launched a technical support centre in Dar es Salaam. The China Oversea (Tanzania) Civil Aircraft Technical Support Centre aims at facilitating the Chinese civil aircraft fleet in Africa. It will provide efficient and on-time field support, technical services and spare parts supplies for the aircraft. The company is also having discussions with Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL) to establish a joint venture and provide the Tanzanian firm with the Chinese civil aircraft for operation. 10-storey glass airport terminal with largest indoor waterfall, park...

A huge 10-storey glass airport terminal is being built in Singapore's Changi airport, which will boast the world’s tallest indoor waterfall, a large indoor park, walking trails, apart from improved facilities for passengers, reports 'DailyMail'.

Called 'Project Jewel', the £726million terminal that is scheduled to open in 2018, will have five storeys above ground and five below ground, with a total footprint of more than 1.4 million square feet.

The round-shaped terminal will house one of the largest indoor collections of plants in Singapore and one of its top attractions will be Forest Valley, a huge five-storey garden filled with thousands of trees, plants, ferns and shrubs.

And a breathtaking 130-ft ‘Rain Vortex’ is expected to be the world’s tallest indoor waterfall once complete.

For travellers, Jewel will be an exciting tourist destination. For Singaporeans, it will be a playground near home, the report added.

Air Seychelles launches flights to Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.

Air Seychelles, the official airline of the Indian Ocean Tourist Island of Seychelles has on Tuesday launched its flights between Victoria, Seychelles and Dar es salaam, Tanzania.
The inaugural flight was operated by the company’s new Airbus A320 dubbed as “Amirantes” in honour of a group of coral islands discovered in the Seychelles archipelago in the 16th century. The aircraft has a seating capacity of 120 seats in its economy class and 16 in business class.
Flights will be twice a week.
The flights between the two cities will be of two hours and twenty minutes flying time.
Dar es salaam becomes a third destination in Air Seychelles’ Indian Ocean and African network, after Mauritius and Johannesburg in the Southern African region.
