TCAA nullifies all KQ permits for flights into the United Republic of Tanzania.

The Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA) has "on a reciprocal basis” rescinded its approval granted to Kenya Airways to resume international flights to Tanzania. The retaliation is a reaction to Kenya’s omission of Tanzania from the list of 16 countries allowed to resume international flights into Kenya effective August 1, 2020, since the airports' shutdown in March when the coronavirus pandemic hit East Africa. During the 51th Annual General Assembly of the African Airlines Association, held on November 11&12, Safran announced it had established a partnership with the association, which works to promote safe, reliable, economical and efficient air transport services in Africa.

The Annual General Assembly of the African Airlines Association (AFRAA), which has been sponsoring by CFM International* for many years, gave Safran the opportunity to announce that it has become an official partner of AFRAA. As part of the commemoration marking the International Civil Aviation Day (ICAD) on 7 December 2019 and the 75 anniversary of International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA) is conducting an essay competition centered on the theme THE ROLES OF NATIONAL CARRIER- AIR TANZANIA IN NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT.  TCAA is a corporate body, established under the Civil Aviation Act, CAP 80 (R.E 2006). The Act mandates the Authority to regulate economic, safety and security aspects of the civil aviation industry as well as providing air navigation services in the United Republic of Tanzania.
