Air Tanzania and Interair have launched their new service between Dar es Salaam and Johannesburg following a codeshare agreement. Interair B737-200 Reg ZS- IJA at Julius Nyerere International Airport, Dar es salaam, being welcomed by ATCL's staff. Earlier this week Air Tanzania, signed a code share deal with Interair, allowing passengers of the local airline to have three flights a week via Interair between Dar es Salaam and Johannesburg. The code shared flights are scheduled for Monday, Wednesday and Friday and will be operated by a Boeing 737-200 with 12 passengers in business class and 91 in economy class. According to ATCL's Acting Chief Executive Officer, Captain Milton Lazaro, the strategic partnership with Interair is part of an aggressive repositioning of the airline.
