Precision Air to fly Scheduled Flights to Serengeti effective from 1st October 2017

Tanzania leading airline Precision Air Services PLC, has announced the launch of scheduled flights to Serengeti National Park effective from 1st October 2017. The flights will be from Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam direct to Serengeti every Monday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. The announcement comes few weeks after the airline announced the  launch of scheduled flights to Kahama  effective from 5th September 2017. For those who were wondering about ATCL being able to run smoothly it's long-haul operations with a single Boeing 787 Dreamliner currently on order...here is what you didn't know,...apparently the government of Tanzania through the ministry of works and transport has set aside the down payment for a second Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Here bellow is an extract of the 2017/18 budget for the ministry of works, transport and communications as presented in the parliament by the minister prof. Precision Air to launch scheduled flights to Kahama (KBH) starting september 2017.

Tanzania leading airline Precision Air Services PLC, has announced the launch of scheduled flights to Kahama effective from 5th September 2017.  The announcement was made after a successful test flight to the Kahama airstrip in Shinyanga region. The test flight performed by Precision Air’s ATR42-500 reg. 5H-PWF took off from Mwanza (MWZ) at around 16:2 5 hrs LT and landed at Kahama (KBH) at 17:00 hrs LT on Sunday 16 th July 2017. Kahama’s District Commissioner, Hon.Fadhili Nkurlu was one of the passengers accompanied the 3 5 min flight from Mwanza. At Kahama, the flight was received by the management of Acacia, invited guests and the press.  Addressing the public, Precision Air’s Corporate Affairs Manager Mr. Hillary Mremi said, Precision Air will start its commercial operations effective from 5th September 2017, initially with three flights a week, every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and strategically increasing the frequency to daily depending on the demand. This selection marks the extension of an existing contract signed with Sabena technics in 2010. Since 2010, Sabena technics has been servicing Precision Air’s ATR fleet from its Dinard site which benefits from a recognized expertise in regional aircraft support. Demand drives flydubai to launch Kilimanjaro flights and increase Zanzibar capacity in Oct-2017

flydubai  announced (15-Jun-2017) plans to commence three times weekly  Dubai -Dar Es Salaam- Kilimanjaro  and  Dubai -Kilimanjaro services on 29-Oct-2017. The carrier will also increase  Zanzibar  frequency from three to eight times weekly on 29-Oct-2017, increasing total  Tanzania  frequency to 14 times weekly and increasing Tanzania capacity by 133% year-on-year.  Kilimanjaro will be the airline's third destination in Tanzania and its 12th in  Africa  and flydubai will be the first carrier to operate directly between Kilimanjaro and the  UAE . Online travel agency Kiwi.com have produced their annual ranking detailing the cost of air travel in 80 countries. As a company which prides itself on offering the best value ticket prices for customers, Kiwi.com undertook the research in order to help make travellers aware of countries that offer good opportunities for affordable travel. Following on from the findings of last year’s Flight Price Index, this round also tracks the changes in the industry, providing a compelling insight into the fluctuating price of air travel around the world.
